Vista RTM!
Come back from lunch and find out that Vista has apparently RTM’d. Good stuff!
I’ve been using Vista RC2 for about 3 weeks now and love it. I’ve been meaning to do a nice write up on it. Have had some issues with it, but none are caused by Vista itself… they’re all from other applications lack of compatibility. Going to write more, but if you want to name names: TortoiseSVN and Outlook 2007. Those two programs are the source of all my frustration.
Hopefully now with Vista RTMing, some companies will get off their butts and make their stuff compatible. I mean, with over a year of betas, CTPs, and RCs… not like they’ve had time to update their software. (That was sarcasm.)
But we are expressly forbidden from installing it, nor Office 2007 by IT.

When asked what would happen if I built an underground railroad and slipping in a version on my laptop, IT threatened me with an ugly vision of something too graphic to explain. It involes a g-string and squatting. (ouch, the vision again.. ouch!)
