Announcement
Saturday morning, my wife came into my office with a little present. She said she was unpacking and had found this gift for me. I remarked that it was yet another one she had misplaced (she had hidden one of my xmas gifts and then forgot where she hid for a few days). When I opened it, I looked at it thinking that it wasn't for me, it was for her cousin Crystal… it was a blue burp rag for a baby… her cousin just had a baby boy and we still had a gift we needed to give to them. Trish then turned it over and I saw it was this:
She then said "I'm pregnant!"
Yeah! My boys can swim! Needless to say, we are both absolutely estatic. We've been wanting kids for a while, and now the time has finally come.
So our weekend was quite busy with telling everybody. Today, my wife had a doctors appointment and we confirmed the pregnancy with a blood test. She already a regular appointment scheduled, so was perfect timing to get in there right away and confirm it. At this point, it is really too early to know what her due date is, as we couldn't even find it on the ultrasound. Apparently the home pregnancy tests these days are pretty damn accurrate. But the tests show that everything is normal.
Was maybe kind of cruel of me to make other posts last night and today, not announcing the pregnancy, but I was hoping to know a due date after the appointment today, but no luck just yet.
But it is official… in 9 months time, I will be a dad.

Congratulations Ken!
BTW: if you’re looking for her due date on the ultrasound…good luck
