I work as a Software Development Engineer with Telligent Systems, where I work on building the Community Server platform.  I've been at Telligent since it was only a month old, back in July 2004, and have been developing Community Server and watching it grow since its infancy.

While Telligent is based out of Dallas, Texas, I live in Lodi, California, a smallish town in California's Central Valley.  To give you an idea, it is about 40 minutes south of Sacramento, and about an hour east of the Bay Area.  I live with my wife Tricia, and my newborn son Nick.

Professionally, I am a .NET/C# developer, through I also dabble in Ruby a lot on nights and weekends, primarily in Rails and Merb.  This blog is a collection of my thoughts and experiments with both languages, ranging from little tidbits I learn as I go along, modules/code samples, and even plugs or libraries I build.
